Lily C. Buday is originally from northern Michigan, where she learned to write semi-obsessively about lakes and water. Her work has been published in ChautauquaGASHERJoyland Magazine, and Salt Hill Journal, and has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize. She is the recipient of a 2022 Individual Artist Fellowship from the Arkansas Arts Council and a 2022 Artists 360 Fellowship from the Mid-America Arts Alliance. She holds an MFA in creative writing from the University of Arkansas, where she was awarded the James E. & Ellen Wadley Roper Fellowship in Creative Writing and the Harrison/Whitehead Founders' Fellowship.

 

Lily lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She is currently working on a novel about family trauma, desire, and Lake Michigan.
